Jökulsarlon - a small lake of icebergs drifting into the Atlantic
The glacier meets the ocean water, and ice breaks off and floats away
The lake is full of ice, some covered in volcanic ash
old US military vehicles take you around the lake
full steam ahead
old stuff, still runs
iceberg ahead
bundled up, for your safety
testing thousand years old ice
Stina and I walk later towards the glacier (through some bird nesting grounds)
the others go by car
far from any roads, very driveable terrain
rest with a view
