Paramatta cruise
January 7, 2007
by Christine

Sunday morning, and we're all about to go out on "Vagabond Blues" for a nice day of cruising.
Bryan, the proud owner, stands ready with the bow line.

We head straight for the Sydney Fish market to pick up some lunch. On our way there, we pass under the ANZAC bridge.
(ANZAC stands for Australian New Zealand Army Corps)

Cruising along outside Pyrmont, where my office is located.

Passing under the old ANZAC bridge, aka Pyrmont bridge.
Annie, Rob, Dave, Christine, Jules

Sydney Fish market is fairly busy this beautiful Sunday morning.

Laura, Jules and Annie pick up some goodies from the market.

After getting them onboard, we head up Paramatta river while enjoying the food.

We sail past a ship that reminds us of T/S Britta, the tall ship Hannes and I sail during summer in Sweden.

This vessel appearantly features in the James Bond movie "Octopussy".

We also spot a replica of a Dutch east india man. I thought they would be bigger!!

Later on, we actually get rain, but this obviously does not concern the owner and helmsman :)

Jules by the helm.

Dave enjoying a glass of red and some sweets.

Annie and Rob taking in the view as we sail past the Sydney south shore.

Hannes enjoying helming.

Laura watching the guys at the back.

This is how it should be; on the water, bright blue skies, a glass of wine in good friends' company!

After dropping "the southerners" (Hannes and I, Jules and Dave) off at Watsons bay, "the northerners" head back to Manly.

We stay for a while in Watsons bay, enjoying an icecream in the afternoon sun.

After a quick swim, we jump on our bicycles and head home to Bondi Junction.

Thanks Bryan and Laura for a great day out on the water!
