Leaving L.A. behind, we head into the deserts in the east...
starting to get toasty (102°F = 39°C, but it's gonna get much hotter before this trip is over...)
Stopping for ice cream...and might as well let 'er cool of a little.

The next morning, we rise with the sun.
It's a bit chilly still, but we wanna catch the sun rising over the Grand Canyon...
