A Day in Marin
August 14, 2005
Sunday morning. We're in Muir Woods.
[Erik, Jonas, Emmelie, Audrey, me]
Maybe not thelargest redwoods around, but they're easy to get to for a peek.
in a canyon just south of Mt Tam
Was that a chipmonk?
After doing all the loops in Muir Woods, we go for a walk along the Sausalito waterfront.
-What's hiding in there?
There are hundreds of crabs crawling around the rocks.
some fireboat puts on a little show
The Sausalito houseboat marina is pretty interesting to see.
windy docks are surrounded by house boats of all shapes and colors
Seating is tight for the best views.
For a glimpse of the golden bridge, we head up the Marina Headlands summit.
It's another foggy day.
Erik on an old military platform
the wetness of the fog
a view of the bridge
Next up - the Swedish bakery in Tiburon
their Princess cake is pretty authentic
the pigeons have good taste, too
As if that wasn't enough; we fire up the barbeque back home.
