on a weekend
March 27, 2004

Me, caught on a sunny Saturday, packing up my stuff for the move to Rockridge next Saturday.

But not just packing...also managed to change the oil on my outboard motor....

...and give the boat a well needed scrub!

Later on, Sandrine invites Christof, Imola and me over to Chateau Dutoit for dinner.

Giving the steak...

...that last touch.

all ready to dig in

Medium rare tri tip, with roasted rosemary potatoes, steamed asparagus, with creamy mushroom and onion, accompanied by a fine chardonnay and a glass of XO cognaq.

a feast on strawberries

Christof & Imola have a few more hours to decide on a color; their house interior is to be painted tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, I am the dishwasher impersonator.

Sunduz appears in time for dessert - bringing just that.

After sleeping off a few more glasses of spectacular wine, the next day greets us, sunny and warm.

Over in San Ramon, Imola is masking edges and windows.

Christof is painting the bedroom.

We interrupt their work for a lunch break in their back yard.

-First meal in their new home!

We later join in on the painting....

Sandrine, painting the guest room green.

Erik, fine tuning the edges.

Me, working my way around bedroom edges.

Christof near the master bathroom.

While there was still lots to be done, we finally left them behind to head into the city for a magnificient Chanticleer concert.

Heading back to Berkeley. Still nice & warm convertible weather.
