BPS 2004-1
July 26, 2004
There is no summer without plenty of sailing. We set out for a week on our Swedish 31-footer.
After shopping food for a whole army, we arrive at the boat pretty late.
Bed time.
The first day starts out breezy, and a bit overcast. Great sailing here.
The sun comes out quite soon, though. And the skies will now be blue for the next three weeks!
The foul weather gear will now remain stashed away.
We stop near Smögen for a real summer temptation: sill lunch.
Entering the very narrow Soten channel, to shortcut north to Hunnebostrand. Can't sail through here.
A busy summer day in here.
In Hunnebo, we picked up Christian & Ansi, to sail with us for the rest of the week.
[afternoon drinks]
Dinner: A fabulous stew, signed by Martina.
Later on, I need to climb the mast to correct a line problem.
hmmm
-Yeah, why not a late night glass of whiskey?
Hunnebo features Gästis, a well-known night club.
topping off a long day at sea on a steamy dance floor,
[with long-time friends from another boat]
Next day's lunch: Greek salad
we carry on north, through the world's finest archipelago
We end up on a beautiful rock between Getryggen and Hästvam.
Some old friends of mine are accompanying us on their boat...
