After 6.5 hours in the car, we woke a rather disoriented Stas up in Long Beach at 3.30am.
We cuddled up in our sleeping bags for the remainder of the night...until construction workers woke us all up blasting Mexican music at 7am the next morning. Yawn.

Not much of a shadow here...the sun is almost straight up.
My friends Hans & Ulrika picked me up and we went down to their beautiful house in Aliso Viejo.

Hans lent me a bike and we took off the nearby mountains.

We push quite hard to quickly climb the first peak.
