A day in Aliso Viejo
October 16, 2004
Waking up to a cloudy sky in San Diego. A winter storm is moving in.
After an early breakfast, Martin & me go for a great run on Lagun Beach.
few things compare to a barefoot beach morning run
topping ot off with a good swim
[still pretty warm]
Ulrika & Martin fixing a delicious brunch
Unbelievable - there's not a single bicycle for rent in or near Aliso Viejo...and we sure tried.
finding a good trail in the Santa Ana Mountains
two of us get ready....
...and take off.
As we had only two bikes, I volunteer to do a great mountain run.
Hans & Martin end up working quite hard, as it's really steep, with lots of loose gravel.
Running proves much faster :-)
spectacular misty vistas
agave
heading back down, however, wheels are clearly an advantage (movie file)
Running is hot, even on a nippy day!

Back in Aliso Viejo, we cook an amazing saffron salmon pasta that is enjoyed with a good wine.
Martin is put to the test of glazing crème brûlée for dessert.
After ending a great day with a cup of coffee, we bid farewell and head back to San Diego.
