Caroling in the city 2001

Decemeber 9, 2001 - It's about that time o' year when the UC Choral Ensembles, UCCE, all head into the city (San Francisco) and spread joy and a sense of holiday by singing Christmas music for people when they probably least expect it...

First, I found this little pile on Sacramento at Embarcadero.

Performing inside a hospital...

At Ghirardelli Square, we gathered up and performed for some time. Very nice spot!

All lined up for Angels we have heard on high (10MB MPEG video).

After ending with Hail to California (5MB MPEG video), we totally surprised a sweet couple with Jingle bells!

We performed at the Episcopal Sanctuary (homeless housing) for a little while

After a beer at a nearby pub, we dined at Kanzaman on Haight Street for a few hours. Lots of yummy stuff, and some smoke from that Hooka to top off the evening. Nice stuff!

Except for their location on upper Haight, the place is also famous for their belly dancers.

Brent was quite busy tipping her :-)
